A lot of LA garages stopped holding a car years ago. They fill up with boxes, old furniture, exercise equipment, broken tools, bikes, and things nobody remembers buying. Detached garages off an alley, tuck-under garages in apartment buildings, carports and sheds all fill up the same way.

Emptying a storage unit

Paying every month for a storage unit you never open adds up. We can empty the unit so you can stop renting it. Check the facility's rules first. Many have set gate hours, and some want you there or want us added to your access list.

Backyards and yard waste

We also clear backyards: branches, palm fronds, pulled-out bushes, piles of leaves and trimmings, plus old patio furniture and broken planters. Your green bin is great for weekly yard trimmings. When the pile is far bigger than the bin, or you've cut back a whole yard, we can haul it all at once.

Tell us if the yard is behind a gate, up steps, or only reachable through the house. A long carry takes more time, so it helps us price it right.

Before we come: a few minutes of sorting

• Decide what stays, and move it to one side or mark it with tape
• Pull out anything with gas or chemicals, like paint, gas cans, pesticides and pool chemicals
• Check old boxes for papers, photos, keys or cash before they go
• If the garage door doesn't open, tell us how the crew gets in
• Let us know if a car will be parked in the driveway or blocking the alley

How pricing works and how to get a faster quote

We price on how much there is, how heavy it is, and how easy it is to reach. Heavy things like old exercise machines or leftover tile weigh more than boxes, and attics and side yards take longer to clear. You get one fixed price in writing before any work starts. If there's more than the photos showed, we confirm the new price before loading, not after.

What we can't take

Garages are where hazardous waste hides. We can't take paint, chemicals, motor oil, gas cans, propane tanks, or asbestos. We'll set those aside so you can take them to a drop-off site. LA Sanitation runs free S.A.F.E. centers where residents can drop off household hazardous waste.
