Pricing and quotes

How much does junk removal cost?

It depends on how much there is and what it is. A few pieces of furniture costs less than a full garage, and heavy items like tile or concrete weigh more than they look. Send photos and we'll give you one fixed price in writing.

How do I get a fixed price?

Send photos or a short description through the quote form, by text to (213) 838-HAUL, or by email to [email protected]. We reply with one price in writing before any work starts. That price is what you pay.

What if there's more junk than the photos showed?

If the load turns out bigger than the photos showed, we tell you the new price before we load anything, not after. You can say yes, take things off the list, or stop there. You never find out about a change on the invoice.

Are there extra fees I should know about?

No surprise fees. Stairs, long carries and heavy items are part of the quote when you tell us about them up front. The price in writing is the price on the invoice.

Can you take just one item?

Yes. One couch, one mattress or one old fridge is a normal job for us. Send a photo and we'll price it.

Scheduling

How soon can you come?

Same-day service is often possible, so ask if you need it gone today. Otherwise, tell us your preferred date when you ask for a quote and we'll confirm the earliest time that works.

Do I need to be there?

No, as long as we can get in. A gate code, lockbox code, or someone on site to open the door works. You get after photos when we finish, so you can see the result from anywhere.

How do I book a job?

Use the quote form on any page, call or text (213) 838-HAUL, or email [email protected]. Photos help us give you a fixed price faster.

Can you work around a move-out or closing date?

Yes. Give us the date the space has to be empty and we'll plan back from it. We confirm the time in writing so you can tell your tenant, buyer or agent.

What happens when the crew arrives?

The crew shows up at the confirmed time, checks the job against the photos, and clears it. Then they check closets, cabinets and drawers so nothing small is left behind, and we send you before and after photos.

Can you come the same day?

Often, yes. Same-day depends on the day's schedule and the size of the job, so call or text (213) 838-HAUL with photos and we'll tell you right away.

What we take

What do you take?

Most household, yard and construction junk: furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, boxes and bags of trash, yard waste, and remodel debris like drywall, wood, tile, flooring and cabinets. We also do full cleanouts of houses, units and garages.

What can't you take?

We can't take hazardous waste, such as paint, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks or asbestos. LA Sanitation (LASAN) runs free S.A.F.E. drop-off centers where City of LA residents can take paint, oil, propane cylinders, batteries and other household hazardous waste. Asbestos needs a licensed abatement company.

Do you take mattresses and box springs?

Yes, any size, from the bedroom or the curb. If it's one mattress, it can be a single-item job.

Do you take refrigerators, freezers and AC units?

Yes. These hold refrigerant that has to be handled the right way, so list them in your quote request and we plan for it. Make sure fridges and freezers are emptied of food first.

Do you take TVs, computers and other electronics?

Yes. TVs, monitors, computers, printers and other electronics are fine. California doesn't allow electronics in the regular trash, so we keep them out of it.

Do you take items from inside the house or upstairs?

Yes. We carry things out from any room, attic, garage, backyard or upper floor. Tell us about stairs, elevators or a long walk to the truck so the quote covers it.

Do you take construction and remodel debris?

Yes: drywall, wood, tile, flooring, cabinets and similar debris. For jobs in the City of LA, construction and demolition waste has to go to a city-certified recycling facility, and that's where we take it. See construction debris removal.

Do I need to sort anything before you come?

No. Just pull out anything you want to keep and set aside any hazardous items like paint or chemicals, since we can't take those. We handle the rest.

Areas we serve

Where do you work?

Across Los Angeles and nearby cities: the Westside, Mid-City and Central LA, Hollywood and the Eastside, Downtown and South LA, the San Fernando Valley, and the Harbor area. See all service areas.

Why not just use the city's free bulky item pickup?

If it works for you, use it. LASAN's bulky pickup is free for homes it serves, but you request it ahead of time, put items at the curb for your scheduled day, and some things are not accepted, like construction materials, paint and auto parts. We're the option when you need everything gone at once, from inside, on your timing, including the small stuff.

Do you work in cities next to Los Angeles?

Yes. We work in LA and the cities around it. Send your address with your photos and we'll quote the job the same way: one fixed price in writing.

Property managers and agents

Do you work with property managers and contractors?

Yes, for one-time jobs or recurring work. Move-outs, unit turnovers, abandoned items, alley dumping and job site debris are all common. See our page for property managers.

Do you do recurring unit turnovers?

Yes. Send each unit as it comes up with photos, the unit number and access details. You get the same process every time: a fixed price, closets, cabinets and drawers checked, before and after photos, and an invoice report set up the way you need it.

Can you clear a unit after an eviction?

Yes, after the lockout, once the owner has the legal right to clear it. You handle the notices and any holding period the law requires for the tenant's belongings. We handle the removal and send photos for your file.

Can you work with a seller or owner who lives out of town?

Yes. They can send photos or have an agent or manager send them, approve the price in writing, and get after photos when it's done. Nobody has to fly in. See our page for real estate agents.

Payment and paperwork

How can I pay?

You can pay by invoice, ACH (bank transfer), credit card, cash or Zelle. If the bill should go to an owner, a company or a management office, tell us when you book and we'll address it that way.

What proof do I get when the job is done?

You get before and after photos of the space we cleared. That's enough for a tenant file, an owner report or a seller who isn't local.

Can property managers get invoices set up their way?

Yes. We set up the invoice report exactly how you need it, with photos, so it works for your books, the tenant file and the owner. Tell us the format when you send the first job.

What if something isn't right after the job?

Look over the after photos. If anything isn't right or something got missed, tell us and we'll come back free of charge and make it right.
