Who we are

This website, solidhauling.com, is run by Mordechai Levenberg, doing business as Solid Hauling ("Solid Hauling," "we," "us"), a junk removal business serving Los Angeles and nearby cities. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website or call, text or email us, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your quote request. What needs to go, the pickup address (and apartment or unit, if any), and, if you choose to add them, your preferred date and what kind of customer you are (for example homeowner or property manager).
Your contact details. Your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address.
Photos. Photos you add on the quote form or through your private add-photos link, or send us by text or email.
Job details you choose to add. On your private add-photos page you can tell us how to get in (for example that you'll be there, a lockbox, a manager's office, access codes such as a lockbox or gate code, or the name and phone number of an on-site contact who will let us in), where the items are, stairs or an elevator, where the truck can park, timing (your preferred date and the date things must be gone by) and any other notes. All of it is optional. Access codes, on-site contacts and notes are never shown on that page again, because anyone with the link can open it.
Your text message choice. Whether you checked the box to get texts about your request, and when.
Basic technical details sent with a form. Your IP address, the approximate city it comes from, and your browser and device type. We use these to block spam and fix problems.
Anonymous tap counts. The site counts taps on buttons such as Call, Text and Get a quote, menu opens, and quote form steps, along with the page and whether it was a phone. These counts don't include your name, phone number, email, address or IP address, and we don't use them to identify you.
Calls, texts and emails. When you contact us, we keep the conversation and the number or address it came from, so we can follow up on your job.
Small settings in your browser. If you pick English or Spanish, or close the language bar, your browser remembers that choice. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and the site doesn't run third-party analytics or ad trackers. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from attacks.

How we use it

To review your request and send you a quote.
To schedule, complete and invoice your job, and to take payment.
To contact you about your request and your job by phone or email, and by text if you agreed to texts.
To send you a private link to add photos of your job.
To keep job, invoice and tax records for the business.
To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to see which pages and buttons are used (from the anonymous counts).

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Text messages

Texts are optional. If you check the box on the quote form, Mordechai Levenberg, doing business as Solid Hauling, will text you about your request: appointment confirmations and updates, including links to add job photos. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Text consent is not required to get a quote or use our services. See the SMS Terms in our Terms.

We do not share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who helps us run the business

We share information only as needed to do the work you ask for:

Service providers. Companies that provide our phone calls and text messages, email, invoicing and payments, website hosting, database and photo storage, and address lookup (when you type a pickup address, the text you type is sent to an address lookup service to suggest matches). They handle your information only to provide those services to us.
The hauling crew assigned to your job. They receive the job details needed to complete it, such as your name, phone number, pickup address, what needs to go, the date, how to get in (including any access codes and on-site contact), parking, and any notes and photos about access or the items.
When the law requires it. For example, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of our customers, our crews or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests, photos and job records as long as we need them to provide the service and keep business records, such as invoices and tax records. Photos picked on the quote form but never sent are deleted automatically after two days.

How we protect it

We use established service providers, limit access to the people who need it for your job, and give each request its own private photo link that's hard to guess. No way of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

Reviewing or changing your information

To see the information we have about you, correct or update it, or ask us to delete it, email office@solidhauling.com or call or text (213) 838-4285. We'll check that the request comes from you, for example by replying to the phone number or email on your request, and then make the change. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, when the law requires it.

To stop texts at any time, reply STOP. To stop emails, reply to any of our emails and tell us.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so this site doesn't change how it works when it receives one. Either way, the site doesn't track you across other websites, doesn't use advertising cookies, and its tap counts are anonymous.

Children

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we'll ask for your OK first where the law requires it.
