Junk removal pricing in Los Angeles
One fixed price in writing before any work starts. Here's what goes into it, what's included, and how to get your exact number in minutes.
- One fixed price in writing
- Same-day service often available
- Free return if anything's not right
One price, in writing, before we come
You send photos of what needs to go. We send back one fixed price, in writing, before anything is scheduled. That number is what goes on the invoice. No hourly meter, no estimate at the curb that grows when the truck shows up, and no fees added later for stairs or heavy items you told us about.
Quotes are free and take about a minute to request: use the quote form, text photos to (213) 838-HAUL, or email office@solidhauling.com.
What decides the price
Every junk removal company in Los Angeles prices on the same few things. We just tell you up front.
- How much there is. This is the biggest factor. One couch is a small job. A packed two-car garage is a truckload or more.
- What it is. Weight matters. Tile, concrete, books, wet carpet and old exercise machines weigh far more than the same pile of boxes and bags.
- Where it is. Stairs, an elevator you have to book, a long carry from the back of a lot, or a hillside street with nowhere to park all add time, so they're part of the price when you tell us about them.
- Special handling. Fridges, freezers and AC units hold refrigerant that has to be handled the right way. TVs and electronics can't go in regular trash in California. Mattresses and tires are handled their own way too.
- Time. A stacked pile in the driveway goes fast. Sorting through a full house, room by room, takes longer, and the price reflects that.
What a typical job looks like
Jobs come in roughly four sizes. Send photos and we'll tell you which one yours is.
- One item. A couch, a mattress, a fridge, a treadmill. Our smallest job, usually priced from a single photo.
- A few pieces or a corner. A bedroom set, the back half of a garage, a patio's worth of broken furniture. Priced from two or three photos.
- A full garage, storage unit or apartment. Usually a full truckload. Three or four wide photos from different corners give us an exact number.
- A whole house or estate. More than one load, sometimes planned over a day or two. A quick walk-through video or a few extra photos per room is ideal, and we can send the price to an executor, seller or owner out of town for approval.
Tell us your preferred date when you send the photos. Same-day service is often possible. See how it works from first photo to invoice.
What's included in every price
- Carrying everything out from wherever it sits: any room, floor, garage, yard or storage unit.
- Loading, hauling and disposal. There's no separate dump fee on your invoice.
- A check of closets, cabinets and drawers so nothing small is left behind.
- Before and after photos sent to you, or to whoever you name.
- A free return if anything in the after photos isn't right.
- One point of contact for the quote, the scheduling and the invoice.
If there's more than the photos showed
Sometimes there's a second closet, a side yard, or a stack behind the garage that didn't make it into the photos. When that happens, the crew stops and we confirm a new price with you before loading, not after. You can approve it, take items off the list, or keep the original scope. You will never see a bigger number on the invoice than the one you agreed to.
How to keep the price down
- Put everything that's going in one spot, like the garage or the driveway, so the crew isn't hunting through rooms.
- Pull out anything you're keeping before we come, and mark it or move it to one side.
- Set aside paint, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks and other hazardous waste. We can't take those anyway, and LA Sanitation's free S.A.F.E. centers will.
- Open the gate or garage and save a parking spot for the truck, especially on narrow or hillside streets.
Junk removal vs. renting a dumpster
- Renting a dumpster. You load it yourself, it sits in your driveway for days, and on a City of LA street it usually needs a permit. The price is by size, with extra charges if you go over the weight limit. It makes sense for a long remodel, less so for a one-day cleanout.
- Solid Hauling. We carry it out from wherever it is, you get one fixed price in writing first, same-day service is often possible, and you get photos when it's done.
Payment
Pay by invoice, ACH (bank transfer), credit card, cash or Zelle. If the bill should go to an owner, a company or a management office, tell us when you book and we'll address it that way. Property managers can get an invoice report with photos set up the way their files need it.

FAQ
Pricing questions
How much does junk removal cost in Los Angeles?
It depends on how much there is, what it is, and how hard it is to reach. One item is a small job; a packed garage is a truckload or more. Send photos and you get one fixed price in writing before anything is scheduled.
Is the quote free?
Yes. No cost, no commitment and no visit needed. Photos are enough for an exact price.
Do you charge by the hour or by the truckload?
By the job. The price reflects how much there is, what it is and the access. It doesn't go up if the crew takes longer than expected.
Does the price include disposal fees?
Yes. One price covers carrying it out, loading, hauling and disposal. The price in writing is the price on the invoice.
Can the price change on the day?
Only if there's more than the photos showed, and only with your okay before anything is loaded. You can also take items off the list to keep the original price.
